I graduated from Muhlenberg College in May of 2021. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English and my Secondary Education certification. Though I completed my student teaching in Pennsylvania, I am originally from and located in Baltimore, Maryland. I have spent time in both private and public institutions throughout my primary and secondary schooling and have learned to appreciate the values and structures of both. A privileged education that has always focused on students’ potential and individual ability has instilled in me a student-focused educational philosophy.
I am well-versed in both a virtual learning platform and in-person settings, having conducted my student teaching primarily remotely, but with plenty of time inside the classroom during the preceding years. Teaching during a pandemic has provided me with a skillset unlike any I would have gained during a conventional school year. I have undoubtedly grown my instructional abilities, attention to need for differentiation and accommodation, and overall flexibility.
